The cutter suction dredger is the preferred equipment for river dredging, sand mining, and coastal cofferdam construction projects, as its work can integrate dredging and discharging without the need for excessive engineering equipment intervention. The working principle of a cutter suction dredger is simple. It relies on hydraulic reamer heads to stir the mud layer to increase the mud concentration. The mud pump discharges the high concentration mud through the pipeline. The discharge distance of one mud pump can reach 3000m, and the sand discharge distance can reach 2000m. It is precisely because of its strong work efficiency that cutter suction dredgers are used in various working conditions!
The main components of a cutter suction dredger are hydraulic reamer heads, mud pumps, and diesel engines. A main diesel engine is connected to the gearbox to drive the mud pump, and an auxiliary diesel engine is connected to the gearbox to drive the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump supplies the entire ship's hydraulic system, including hydraulic reamer heads, hydraulic winches, and hydraulic cylinders. The fully hydraulic design of the cutter suction dredger makes operation simpler and more efficient.
The 18 inch cutter suction dredger is one of our company's best-selling models, equipped with a 1250KW diesel engine to drive a 20/18 inch mud pump. The mud pump has a flow rate of 4000 cubic meters and can achieve a production capacity of over 600 cubic meters per hour. There is also an auxiliary machine on the dredger with a power of 456KW, which drives the hydraulic system of the entire ship and provides power for the reamer, hydraulic winch, and hydraulic cylinder. The suction dredger consumes only 300L of oil and diesel fuel per hour, making it an outstanding performance cutter suction dredger.

The 18 inch cutter suction dredger is a medium to large equipment, and the hull size designed for a depth of 15m is 48m * 8.6m * 2.2m. Therefore, the cutter suction dredger needs to be disassembled for transportation and then shipped by bulk carrier to the customer's site for assembly.
1.We are very responsible for the installation process of the cutter suction dredger, and we will send at least 2 technicians to the site to guide the installation.
2. The tools required for the installation process of the cutter suction dredger have been fully equipped in the factory, and on-site installation only requires arranging a crane.
