Product Description

1. Cutting the Soil: The cutter head, located at the front of the dredger, rotates at a high speed. The cutters on the cutter head are designed to penetrate and cut the soil on the seabed or riverbed. The rotation speed and the type of cutters can be adjusted according to the hardness of the soil. For soft soil, a relatively low rotation speed and simple cutters may be sufficient. In the case of hard soil or rocky areas, a higher rotation speed and more robust cutters are required to break up the soil effectively.
2. Suctioning the Mixture: As the cutter head cuts the soil, it loosens the soil - water mixture. Meanwhile, the dredge pump creates a vacuum in the suction pipe. This vacuum generates a suction force that draws the cut - off soil - water mixture into the suction pipe. The suction nozzle at the end of the suction pipe is close to the cutter head and can be adjusted in height and angle to ensure efficient suction of the mixture, even in different working depths and terrains.
3. Transporting the Mixture: The dredge pump is responsible for pumping the soil - water mixture through the discharge system. The pump provides the necessary pressure to overcome the resistance of the pipeline and transport the mixture to the designated discharge area. The flow rate and pressure of the mixture can be controlled by adjusting the speed of the dredge pump and the opening degree of the valves in the system.
4. Discharging the Materials: The discharge system, including the discharge pipe and related accessories, directs the pumped - out mixture to the specified location. This could be a reclamation area for land formation, a disposal site far from the working area to avoid environmental impact, or a location for further processing of the dredged materials, such as in some cases where valuable minerals are extracted from the sediment.
