Core structure and working principle
Main components
Impeller: core component, determines the efficiency and wear resistance of the pump (common closed and open impellers).
Pump casing: usually adopts a double-layer casing design, lined with wear-resistant materials (such as Cr27 high-chromium cast iron).
Sealing system: mechanical seal or packing seal to prevent mud leakage.
Drive device: motor, diesel engine or hydraulic drive, power ranging from tens of kW to thousands of kW.
Workflow
Suction stage: The impeller rotates at high speed to generate negative pressure, and the mud enters the pump body through the suction port.
Pressure delivery: centrifugal force throws the mud to the edge of the pump casing, and the pressure is increased and discharged from the discharge port.
Pipeline transmission: transport to the yard or treatment facility through the mud discharge pipe.
